The Cliff

The 'Cliff' swim used to be the last swim on the lake prior to us extending the fishery in 1998.

Since concentrating our efforts on improving the water quality of the fishery we have seen some amazing fish growths, due in part to the increase in natural food now in the lake.

Out to the left of this swim is the shallowest area of the lake which is also the only area of the lake were you will find weed, something that again has only recently grown in the fishery since the improvement of the water quality. As new as weed is to the lake, it is also new to the carp and they love it...you can always find carp milling around in the weed.

It’s here that we imagine a lot of the natural food sources can be found, but don’t worry, it’s not that horrible silt weed, it’s more of an oxygenating Canadian pond weed.
